About the authors:
Born in Israel and raised in New York City, Zeeva Bukai is a writer with degrees in acting, theater, and fiction. As a writer, her honors include a Fellowship at the New York Center for Fiction and residencies at Hedgebrook, and Byrdcliffe Artist In Residence program. Her short fiction has been widely published, including in The Master’s Review, where she was the recipient of the Fall Fiction prize selected by Anita Felicelli, and December Magazine where her story 'The Abandoning' was selected by Lily King for the Curt Johnson Prose Prize. 'The Abandoning' was an early version of the first chapter of The Anatomy of Exile.
Ruth Franklin’s The Many Lives of Anne Frank will be published in January 2025 by the Yale Jewish Lives series. Her book Shirley Jackson: A Rather Haunted Life (2016) won numerous awards, including the National Book Critics Circle Award for Biography, and was named a New York Times Notable Book of 2016, a Time magazine top…
